Maria Micka, LCSW

Maria Micka obtained her Masters in Social Work from Indiana University Northwest, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.  Maria previously worked for a local community mental health center for more than 13 years. During her time there, she served in many capacities, including Director of Community Support Services.  This department provided intensive care to adults, children, and their families.  Maria has provided therapeutic care in schools as well as in healthcare settings.  She has worked with individuals and families facing loss, major health concerns, and complex mental health issues.  She believes that all people will face stress and suffering, but seeking therapeutic support can aid individuals in navigating life’s most difficult circumstances.

Maria utilizes many therapeutic approaches and completed specialized training in EMDR.  She provides therapy for children, adults, and families.
